Unlocking roof renovation with behavioural science

Even with generous incentives and support, most homeowners still don’t renovate. Why? Because real barriers aren’t just financial, they’re behavioural. In the RENO+ pilot, Behaven worked with Buildwise and partners to uncover what was really holding people back: uncertainty, complexity, low trust, and a lack of relatable success stories. 

Using journey mapping, co-creation and our proprietary Rainbow Wheel framework, we turned these invisible frictions into practical solutions—helping make renovation not just possible, but easy and motivating. This talk shares how we did it, and what it means for accelerating the broader sustainable transition.
