Beyond our control? Facing Scope 3 challenges of temporary equipment use with Atlas Copco Specialty Rental

For Atlas Copco Rental, more than 90% of our emissions come from the use of leased assets in Scope 3 - essentially from the fuel and energy consumed when our equipment is in operation. These emissions, however, are not only ours to account for: they represent our customers’ Scope 1 and 2 . This shared responsibility means that progress can only be achieved through true partnership. In this session, we will share our journey in understanding, quantifying, and addressing these emissions.

We will explore the complexities of balancing customer needs with environmental goals, highlight the practical obstacles of influencing downstream emissions, and discuss how Atlas Copco Rental is working towards innovative solutions to reduce our shared environmental impact.
