Physical & transition risks associated with climate change - What is at stake at GBL

This session will explore how climate change and the transition to a low-carbon economy affect businesses, with a focus on GBL’s approach. We will look at how to assess physical and transition risks, translate findings into adaptation plans per site or unit, and integrate them into corporate strategy.

The case highlights how such assessments raise awareness of what is at stake, demonstrate the economic case for climate action, and strengthen sustainability practices. It also shows that while the exercise is cross-functional and complex, it provides meaningful insights that shape long-term strategy.
