Advancing sustainable horticulture through product innovation and transparency

As a key player in the media sector, Agaris faces growing scrutiny over the environmental impact of peat-based products. Recognizing this, Agaris has taken decisive steps to reduce its carbon footprint and lead in sustainability.

Together, we conducted a double materiality assessment that identified climate change as a top priority. Agaris responded by commissioning a full life cycle assessment (LCA) of its entire product range - evaluating not just carbon, but also land and water use, and biodiversity impacts.

Understanding the trade-offs between raw materials like peat, coir, and compost, Agaris prioritized transparency. They developed a user-friendly scoring system to help clients make informed, sustainable choices.

To guide this work, we supported Agaris in developing a forward-looking sustainability strategy and stakeholder-focused report, positioning them to meet rising expectations and drive progress across the industry.
